Happy Thanksgiving 2013!

The Fantasy of Lights display is nearly completed, the Visitors Center tree has been decorated, and members of our staff will soon begin motoring toward their holiday destinations, whether across town or across state lines.  As we prepare to enter the 2013 holiday season, here’s a quick reminder of the things going on in the Sumter community over the holiday weekend (click links for more info):

November 28:
YMCA Turkey Trot

November 30
Cram-A-Cruiser Toy Drive
Hosted by the Sumter Police Department.

December 1
Fantasy of Lights Opening Ceremony, 6:00 p.m.

And to find out more of the action in upcoming weeks, please check out the Calendar of Events

As we each prepare to count our own blessings, I ask that if you feel so inclined, please take a moment to remember those for whom this may be a difficult season—those who have suffered the illness or loss of a family member, had financial setbacks, and of course, the American troops who valiantly continue defending our nation and the world 365 days a year.
Please have a safe Thanksgiving holiday and we’ll be back (phone 803-436-2640), ready to serve you, at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, December 2.
